Tuesday, May 21, noon–1 p.m. at the William F. Winter Archives and History Building. As part of the History Is Lunch Series, retired Ingalls Shipbuilding vice president and general counsel George W. Howell will discuss how Mississippi won out over Florida and landed the “Shipyard of the Future” in 1967. Howell will also present items related to this historic event, including photographs, color slides, audio tapes, files, and other items, to the state archives for preservation.
