Saturday, May 4, 1 p.m. at Winterville Mounds. Music of the Delta. Winterville Mounds director and ethnomusicologist Mark Howell will discuss the different kinds of music heard in the Delta from the beginning of its settlement until the present day. A variety of instrument artifacts will be shown and played, as well as songs from Native American, African American, and Euro-American traditions.
