The Journal of Mississippi History, published in cooperation with the Mississippi Historical Society (MHS), is a scholarly quarterly featuring articles on Mississippi, prehistory through contemporary times, plus reviews of important new books. Subscription is a benefit of MHS membership ($25 annually for individuals).

Mississippi Archaeology, published semiannually in cooperation with the Mississippi Archaeological Association, contains articles on archaeological work in Mississippi.
