Mississippi Hands-on History and Mississippi History on Loan are available free-of-charge to all Mississippi public schools and private schools with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status as educational organizations.

Mississippi History on Loan offers films on a variety of Mississippi topics including state history from prehistory through the twenty-first century, famous Mississippians, and adaptations of literary works associated with Mississippi. Titles are available year-round, for grades 4–12.

A printable listing of titles may be viewed here (PDF) or you can search the Mississippi History on Loan catalog. Activity Packets are also available for selected films in the collection and may be viewed on our Lesson Plans and Teaching Units page.

Teachers may print and fill out this loan form (PDF) to request films (one film per form); please keep copies for your records. Forms may be faxed to 601-576-6815, or mailed to Mississippi History on Loan, P.O. Box 571, Jackson, MS 39205. You will receive confirmation of your order before it ships. Films may also be picked up at the Museum Division Annex in Jackson (view directions to the Annex).
