Native American Days 2013
Wednesday–Friday, October 30–November 2, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. at Winterville Mounds. Native American Days 2013. Meet Native American members of the Choctaw, Seminole, Cherokee, and Houma Nations and experience traditional music, dance, and storytelling. Activities will include Native American arts and crafts, games, food, singing, and primitive weapons. On stage will be Houma dancer Cocoa Creppel, Nina Marshall and Two Bears from the Native American Cultural Exchange, the Choctaw Elderly Dancers, and the Southern Pine Drum Group. Representatives from the USDA Wildlife, Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, and the Southern Traditional Archery Association will also be present. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
