Educators examine materials at the Museum of Mississippi History’s Social Studies Teachers WorkshopEach fall the Museum of Mississippi History’s Social Studies Teachers Workshop focuses on a different topic in Mississippi history. Scholars and professionals explore the theme and present ways it can be taught in the classroom. Lesson plans for grades 4–6 and 7–12 are included.

The workshop is for teachers of grades 4–12. It is held in Jackson the first Friday in November 8 a.m.–3 p.m. Registration forms are available in September, and all attendees must pre-register. The cost is $25. For an additional fee, participants may claim a CEU credit of .5 issued through Mississippi College.
