Natchez Powwow: March 24–25, 2012

Traditional Native American dancing, foods, and crafts will be found in abundance at the 2012 Natchez Powwow March 2425, at the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians. This will be the twenty-second time the Grand Village has hosted the annual event. "This Powwow is significant because of its location at an actual mound site," said Jim Barnett, director of the Grand Village. "Natchez Indians lived here and danced here and that long history makes this all the more special." Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. For more information call the Grand Village at 601-446-6502 or contact Powwow Committee Chairman Chuck Borum at 601-442-0200.
