View photos from 2009 Natchez Powwow The Grand Village of the Natchez Indians is a historic property administered by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History. This National Historic Landmark features a museum, a reconstructed Natchez Indian house, and three ceremonial mounds. Regular hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Sundays 1:30 to 5 p.m. Admission is free. The Grand Village is located at 400 Jefferson Davis Boulevard, Natchez. Traditional Native American dancing, foods, and crafts will be found in abundance at the 2012 Natchez Powwow March 24–25, at the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians. This will be the twenty-second time the Grand Village has hosted the annual event. "This Powwow is significant because of its location at an actual mound site," said Jim Barnett, director of the Grand Village. "Natchez Indians lived here and danced here and that long history makes this all the more special." Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.
