Mississippi Hands-on History: A Traveling Trunk Program

The traveling trunk program puts Mississippi history directly in the hands of schoolchildren. Each trunk is developed around specific Mississippi history topics and contains a variety of educational materials, such as reproduction artifacts, lesson plans, activities, maps, graphics, reference materials, and video- or audiotapes. The trunks are designed to be used as one- to two-week units.
