Letter, Major General Andrew Jackson, Camp 4 miles below N.[ew] Orleans, to Governor Holmes, informing him of the British defeat on January 8th, thanking him for his services, asking that when the arms arrive at Natchez they be hastened on "to this point," and asking that the man who had been entrusted with the arms shipment be arrested and sent to him [Major General Jackson] in confinement.
