"Above: a field of cotton in the making - choppers at work - they work hard and long in preparing the soil that it may yield good returns, then they hope for rain (at the right times) and hot weather and try to guard against the ravages of pest - such as the 'boll weevil' and the army worm, that can (and sometimes do) turn a prospective good crop into a poor oneā€¦. 'Cotton is King.'"
