In anticipation of Mississippi’s Bicentennial in 2017, the 2 Mississippi Museums project is pleased to promote the work under way on two flagship institutions honoring the state’s history — the Museum of Mississippi History and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. The Mississippi Department of Archives and History is working with architects, designers, scholars, and community advisors to plan the buildings and exhibits. Project Manager Named for Mississippi Civil Rights Museum
Jacqueline K. Dace has been selected as the project manager of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum (MCRM). The nationwide search began in July and attracted more than one hundred applicants. The MCRM project manager will coordinate activities associated with the planning, construction, and opening of the museum. Dace will begin work December 1.
